Key facts about Safety 2018

May 2, 2018

From what you can do at the Career Center to how to get a conference app that'll let you view the sessions you couldn't make (or review the ones you could), here are a few things you need to know about Safety 2018.

Continuing Education Credits: you can earn:
Full Conference: 1.8
Conference without Wednesday Luncheon: 1.7
Pre & Post Conference Seminars: Earn up to 3.9 CEUs

  • 1 day = .7 CEU
  • 2 days = 1.4 CEUs
  • 3 days = 2.1 CEUs

How to get CEUs: To receive CEUs attendees need to be present for the education hours of the sessions and participate in the learning activities provided. CEUs will be posted to your ASSE transcript in approximately 30 days after the last day of the conference.

Conference App: The conference app is available for Apple devices on the App store or for Android devices on Google Play. Once you download the app, you’ll need to login the first time you use it. To login, just use your primary member e-mail address and the password, “safety2018”. If you don’t have a smart phone, you can access a web version of the app.

The Career Center: Job seekers can go to the Career Center to submit resumes and view postings by companies seeking to hire. HR professionals and recruiters will be at the career center for resume critiquing, interview skill building, and job search advice. Employers can post positions and browse through resumes to seek potential employees.

Recordings: 150+ concurrent sessions are included in your conference registration. With video and slides synched to audio, you’ll be able to watch the sessions you missed (or review the sessions you liked best).

No-Smoking Policy: For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any ASSE function.
