DuPont Safety & Construction today announced the launch of Nomex^® Comfort, an innovative lightweight fabric combining the legendary flame resistant (FR) protection of Nomex^® with enhanced comfort and breathability.

Nomex^® Comfort is the latest innovation in protection for the oil and gas, petrochemical and general manufacturing industries. While this new material is the lightest weight Flame-Resistant Personal Protective Equipment (FR PPE) fabric to meet NFPA 2112 and NFPA 70E standards, Nomex^® Comfort provides enhanced inherent heat and flame protection. It also absorbs much less moisture than cellulosic fibers such as cotton and viscose, therefore, garments made of Nomex^® Comfort can dry faster, making the wearer feel more comfortable. It will be available in a variety of colors and weights, providing more options when choosing professional FR personal protection equipment (PPE).

Nomex® Comfort fabric is being launched at the National Safety Council Congress and Expo taking place in Houston, Texas, Oct. 22-24, 2018, and it will be featured in Bulwark’s booth #3021 and as part of the show’s Best in Show New Product Showcase. Nomex® Comfort fabric will be exclusively offered by Bulwark in their iQ Series® Mobility line.
