Examinetics launches technology-based hearing conservation solution

Examinetics-Salux
December 5, 2022

Examinetics announces the launch of Salux™, an innovative tablet-based Hearing Conservation Solution. Salux™ was internally developed by Examinetics. It is the only hearing testing and training solution designed specifically by a hearing conservation company for safety and occupational health professionals to meet the widely varying and unique needs of regulatory compliance.

“Examinetics continues to be the leader in regulatory driven occupational health testing and Salux™ is our latest innovation,” said Paul Fenaroli, Chairman & CEO, Examinetics. “This platform was developed in response to client needs, such as finding cost effective alternatives to offsite clinic visits and facilities looking for a better in-house program. This new offering truly lives up to our vision of being the leader in innovation, reliability, and convenience.”

The new technology offers the greatest choice in testing flexibility. Companies can still choose to test using an On-Site solution, which includes a technician testing at a customer facility with Salux™ technology - with the option of testing either on one of 130 mobile units or moving testing into a conference room inside the facility. The new On-Demand solution offers an annual subscription or two-week rental option for companies to administer ‘do-it-yourself’ hearing testing on their own schedule.

“The versatility of Salux helps safety managers address the pain points they have with hearing testing,” said Cassie Ford, Examinetics’ Manager of Audiology Services. “For example, an Examinetics technician can administer testing onsite for the majority of employees and then the client can use Salux to test the employees who were absent during the mobile unit’s visit, as well as retest those individuals who originally showed a hearing threshold shift.”

Clients particularly like that in every testing scenario, whether On-Site or On-Demand, Examinetics helps clients satisfy all aspects of their hearing conservation requirements including testing and training, as well as providing access to a team of audiologists for data review and work-relatedness evaluations. All data is seamlessly transmitted into Examinetics’ cloud-based client portal, XM Solutions™. Additionally, the On-Demand solution offers a CAOHC-certified tele-technician option to provide live video chat assistance for those who prefer it, or for customers who want a ‘do-it-yourself’ option and whose states (WA, OR) or industry (MSHA) regulation require CAOHC-certified administration.

No matter the platform, Examinetics’ clients will still receive all the existing services already included with mobile unit testing. “Technology alone is not a disruptor,” adds Ford. “Our differentiation is the ability to give our clients the best of both worlds…truly innovative digital technology along with the onsite support of 130 mobile units and 150 certified technicians covering the entire U.S., strengthened by the deep expertise of a company doing this for fifty years.”
