Donaldson Company, Inc., a manufacturer of innovative filtration products and solutions, has introduced the Downflo^® Pre-assembled Large series of dust collectors.

Designed specifically for the metal fabrication industry, the Downflo Pre-assembled Large (DFPRE) collector represents the latest in optimized dust collection solutions for operations with continuous manufacturing processes.

The DFPRE Large is available in three sizes – 4, 6 and 9 (the numerical designation identifies the number of filters in the unit) – and utilizes natural downward airflow for optimal filter performance. The horizontally mounted Ultra-Web^® fine fiber cartridge filters capture sub-micron contaminants which are easily pulsed toward the hopper during automated cleaning cycles.

The unit’s compact design and pre-wired fan and controls make installation easy while the side air inlet simplifies the process of ducting the collector to cutting and fabricating machines.

“The DFPRE Large series was engineered in response to the need for an easy-to-install collector for various industries,” said Josiah White, product manager at Donaldson. “Having multiple sizes means fabricators can find the right system for their operation’s needs and production layouts.”

The DFPRE 4, 6 and 9 join the previously released Downflo Pre-assembled Small (2 and 3) collectors in Donaldson’s comprehensive portfolio of compact Smart Collectors powered by iCue^™ Connected Filtration Technology. The iCue Technology tracks collector performance and provides real-time analytics to help maximize uptime, increase maintenance efficiency and manage critical compliance data.
