BCSP, IOSH Sign Agreement
CSPs and IOSH members gain opportunities for greater recognition

The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that outlines several areas of collaboration, among them opportunities for safety professionals to achieve greater recognition for their knowledge and experience.
As part of the new agreement, Certified Safety Professionals (CSPs) are able to apply for the CertIOSH, demonstrating advanced safety leadership skills through that membership and placing them one step closer to the highly respected Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). CSP's can find more information on the CertIOSH webpage.
In similar respect, BCSP continues to recognize the CMIOSH, and adds the Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH), as credentials that meet the CSP's qualified credential requirement. Those who hold the CMIOSH or CFIOSH—and who have the requisite education and experience—may apply directly for the CSP and take the exam required to achieve it. IOSH members can find more information on the CSP webpage. In addition to establishing the alignment of BCSP and IOSH credentials, the organizations further agreed to collaborate on providing safety professionals access to valuable services, including professional development.
In signing the memorandum, BCSP and IOSH declared their commitment to further the field of occupational safety and health together.
