moviTHERM has announced the launch of iTL 2.0, the first thermal monitoring platform built for anyone, regardless of technical background.

iTL 2.0 allows users to receive alarms, view data, and monitor temperature from thermal cameras within minutes of setup. It eliminates complicated configurations and integrations, making thermal monitoring simple, fast, and accessible to everyone.

“We built iTL 2.0 for people who have always wanted to use thermal technology but didn’t know where to start,” said Markus Tarin, Founder and CEO of moviTHERM. “It is the first true plug and play thermal monitoring system. You just plug it in and start monitoring.”

With iTL 2.0, users can add cameras, define regions of interest, and receive alerts automatically. The system detects connected devices, configures them instantly, and begins streaming data to a secure cloud dashboard.

“Customers no longer have to be experts in thermal cameras or networking,” said Nathan Aday, Lead Software Engineer. “You connect your camera, and the platform does the rest. It automatically provisions data, syncs thresholds, and generates dashboards in seconds.”

Designed for manufacturing, recycling, utilities, and safety-critical environments, iTL 2.0 delivers enterprise-level monitoring without the complexity.

“Many of our customers wanted visibility into heat and risk but didn’t have the resources for complex systems,” said Todd Faulkner, Sales Manager. “Now, if you can plug in an Ethernet cable, you can monitor your facility. It’s that simple.”

iTL 2.0 was built from direct customer feedback, focusing on ease of use, scalability, and speed of deployment. The system eliminates the traditional learning curve associated with thermal monitoring systems, allowing anyone to gain insight and peace of mind from real-time temperature data.

iTL 2.0 can be used across a wide range of industries for equipment monitoring, fire detection, and process monitoring.

  • Electrical Substations and Power Distribution: Identify failing components and hot connections that can trigger blackouts or equipment damage.
  • Recycling and Waste: Detect overheating batteries and spontaneous combustion in piles of recyclables before they ignite.
  • Industrial Laundry: Detect heat buildup in dryers, lint traps, and linen piles to prevent fires.
  • Wildfire-Prone Areas: Deploy thermal monitoring near vegetation, utility poles, or equipment yards to identify sparks or heat sources before a fire spreads.
  • Battery Storage and Charging Stations: Continuously monitor charging stations and energy storage to detect thermal runaways or failing cells before they escalate.
  • Manufacturing Plants: Track motors, bearings, and pumps to prevent costly unplanned downtime.

iTL 2.0 supports a wide range of cameras including Flir A-Series Smart Cameras, Seek G300 Guardian, AT Sensors IRSX, and Planck Vision TNC Series. It can operate securely through Ethernet or LTE for off-grid deployments. Existing iTL 1.0 users can upgrade seamlessly through a cloud update.

“This system is redefining what is possible in thermal monitoring,” said Tarin. “It bridges the gap between everyday users and advanced industrial safety.”

Already have thermal cameras? You can plug them right in. iTL 2.0 instantly turns your existing hardware into a complete monitoring system. There’s no need for outside integration help. As long as your camera is supported, you can connect it and start viewing live data, receive alerts, and track trends right away.

And if you’re starting from scratch, moviTHERM offers the full selection of compatible cameras, making it easy to build a system that fits your needs from day one.
