Goodbye to Vermont state OSHA program?
Vermont Governor James Douglas might kill the Vermont Occupational Safety and Health Administration because its services duplicate those provided for free by federal OSHA.
Appearing on a local radio talk show, Douglas fielded a call from a VOSHA inspector who said he had learned through the grapevine he was losing his job. Douglas didn't deny it.
VOSHA is part of the Vermont Department of Labor and Industry. It carries out workplace safety inspections and advises businesses on compliance with workplace safety laws.
