For the first time, the number of people holding the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation has topped 10,000, according to the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
During the past 31 years, approximately 16,700 people achieved the CSP, and about 25,000 have applied to test for the CSP.
Today, about 43 percent of all CSPs hold an advanced degree, and less than 5 percent hold less than a bachelors degree, according to the BCSP.
