Inc.magazine has named Pelican Products, a manufacturer of advanced lighting systems and protective cases, to itsInc. 5,000list of America’s fastest-growing companies, according to a recent company press release. Published annually, the list highlights U.S.-based, privately held and independent companies with more than $2 million in revenues that have increased revenues significantly during the most recent three-year period.

“We’re certainly excited about being ranked by a leading business publication as one of America’s fastest-growing companies, as it is a testament to our hard- and smart-working employees, as well as our loyal customers,” said Pelican Products CEO Lyndon Faulkner. “During the past few years, we have aggressively pursued growth opportunities to expand our U.S. and international operations, enhance our product offerings and penetrate emerging markets.”

According to anInc.press release, companies on the 2007Inc. 5,000list produced $190 billion in aggregate revenue — about 1.5 percent of the national gross domestic product, and employed more than 900,000 people. Median revenue for those companies was $9.4 million, and median three-year growth was 140 percent. Pelican’s revenue in 2007 was more than $151 million, a nearly 75 percent increase over 2004’s revenue.
