Protective Industrial Products, Inc. announces personnel changes

Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (PIP), a leading manufacturer of gloves and personal protection equipment (PPE), has announced the following personnel changes:

 Chris Barrington had been named to the position of market manager in the Midwest market. A Drake University graduate, Chris joins PIP with a comprehensive background in the safety industry. He previously held positions with Scott Health & Safety, DuPont and Justrite Manufacturing. As the market manager in this area, Chris is responsible for growing sales, acquiring and managing key accounts, and distribution development. Chris will work out of his home office in Rolling Meadows, IL and manage the Midwest territory including Illinois, Missouri, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nebraska.

 Dan Gasman had been named national account manager. Since joining PIP in April 2007, Dan has played a major role in developing the business in the Southeast Region as the regional sales manager. Dan will focus on National Accounts going forward.

 Dean Mastan had been named to the position of customer service manager. Previously with Time Warner, Dean comes to PIP with the responsibility of managing inside Territory Account Managers in the Industrial and Food Service divisions. Dean will be in charge of staff and order management, training and customer service procedures and development.

 Don Wilkinson had been named to the position of market manager in the South Central market. Don brings significant experience gained while he was with OKI-Bering, one of the nation’s largest wholesalers. As the market manager in this area, Don is responsible for growing sales, acquiring and managing key accounts, and distribution development. Don will work out of his home office in Spring, Texas, and manage the South Central territory including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Western Tennessee.

 And finally, the company has named Joe Ashton as their new regional sales manager-Southeast. Joe brings over 30 years of knowledge and experience in the safety industry. For nearly 20 years, he worked for glove manufacturer Best Manufacturing and Perfect Fit/Sperian. He was also the national sales manager for hand protection at Sperian. A resident of Chattanooga, Tenn., Joe will work in the territory covering Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.
