Wiley X encourages Americans to revel in our freedom and independence this July 4th

July 2, 2013
The 4th of July means many things to many Americans.  For some, it's the official kick-off to a much-needed summer vacation with family. And for others, it's about watching a small-town parade or celebrating with a patriotic fireworks show.  As a veteran-owned company with its roots in protecting American soldiers, Wiley X®, Inc. reminds all Americans to keep the focus this July 4th on the true meaning of the Holiday - the precious gift of independence.Wiley X

"Americans come from many different backgrounds.  But there is something we all share, and that is the independence - and the freedoms we enjoy - every day," said Wiley X Co-Owner Myles Freeman, Jr.  "It doesn't matter if you can trace your heritage back to the pilgrims or you've only been here a short time - all Americans have an equal stake in the meaning of Independence Day.  When we gather to celebrate our nation’s independence, we honor our great country's past, present and future.  We recognize the many who sacrificed to bring us independence, as well as those Americans who serve today to protect it," added Freeman.

Over the past quarter century, Wiley X has built its reputation, its business (and heartfelt gratitude for America's independence and freedoms) providing U.S. military units with advanced, specially engineered vision protection systems and gloves.  Wiley X eyewear meets stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, for optimum eye protection in a wide range of environments and situations.  Selected Wiley X models also meet the updated MIL-PRF-32432 (GL) MCEP Standard (superseding the GL-PD 10-12 MCEP Standard) for combat protective eyewear.

Wiley X also brings this advanced protection to all Americans, offering an extensive line of sunglass models for every occupation, sport or outdoor activity.  From fishing or shooting to hiking, motorcycling, mountain biking or just kicking back on a sunny beach, Wiley X has a premium sunglass style designed for every person and every outdoor activity.  Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with ANSI-rated, occupational-grade vision protection in every pair of glasses it makes.

For more information on Wiley X's full line of performance protective eyewear for tactical, occupational or recreational use, visit Wiley X, Inc. at 7800 Patterson Pass Road, Livermore, CA 94550 · Telephone: (800) 776-7842 · Or visit online at www.wileyx.com
