IndustrySafe, a leading safety management software, partners with Canvas, a leader in mobile applications

August 20, 2013

Vendor NewsTRA is pleased to announce a partnership with Canvas, the global leader in mobile apps for businesses. By aligning TRA’s IndustrySafe Safety Management Software with Canvas’ mobile app solution, safety professionals are able to conduct inspections in the field with the Canvas Mobile App and then report, notify, and analyze those inspections within the IndustrySafe software.

IndustrySafe Software provides organizations with web-based safety data management tools including inspections, key safety performance metrics, incident and OSHA recordkeeping, training tracking, hazards, behavior-based safety, and more.

Canvas is an easy, fast and economical way for businesses to find, customize and create mobile forms to replace paper forms. Canvas is a cloud-based software service that enables users to collect information using mobile devices, share that information and integrate with existing backend systems. Canvas also offers the first mobile business application store of its kind, allowing businesses to find mobile forms specific to their needs.

IndustrySafe wanted to provide their clients with an easy way to inspect buildings, equipment and job sites from a mobile device and feed that data directly to their software. They selected Canvas to quickly convert their safety checklists into mobile apps, which their clients can download and start using in literally a few minutes. The data collected from these apps can be integrated with IndustrySafe’s software, eliminating the need for time-consuming, redundant data entry.

The IndustrySafe team also selected Canvas because of its user friendly mobile design, the ease at which multiple IndustrySafe safety inspections can be converted to Canvas mobile apps, and the clean and fast integration with the IndustrySafe backend database.

Ms. Epstein, a Vice President of TRA explains the process, “Our clients utilize the Canvas Mobile app to easily conduct safety inspections in remote locations from their mobile devices. Then once they have Internet access they are able to sync directly with IndustrySafe and view inspection results and reports quickly.” She continues, “The Canvas Mobile app saves our clients time so they that they can focus on improving safety and spend less time generating paperwork and reports.”

Added Michael Benedict, Vice President, Application Store at Canvas Solutions “Canvas enables software companies like IndustrySafe to rapidly develop and deploy mobile data collection apps and integrate those with their software. IndustrySafe also has its own Application Store on http://www.GoCanvas.com, allowing users to quickly access, download and start using these apps.

Several IndustrySafe checklists including general safety, site safety, building safety inspections and more are available for free download from the IndustrySafe Application Store. TRA also works closely with individual clients to set up IndustrySafe safety mobile inspection checklists that work best for their organization.
