Hagemeyer North America vows sustainable operations

September 6, 2013
Hagemeyer North America is taking active steps toward environmentally sustainable operations. Its Corporate Sustainability Commitment presents a set of values fundamental to how the company does business. Core values are integrity, professionalism, service and sustainability. Hagemeyer North America takes economic, social, ethical and environmental issues very seriously. The company says daily business decisions are based on how conditions can be improved, and that it combines common sense with keen business sense, for a sustainable approach to business.

Hagemeyer North America (HNA) is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. Hagemeyer USA, led by President Lisa Mitchell, has 2,300+ employees at locations across the nation.

In January 2001, Hagemeyer announced the integration of its three primary U.S. operating entities (Cameron & Barkley Company, Tristate Electrical & Electronics, and Vallen Corporation) into a single operating company named Hagemeyer North America.

In March 2008, Sonepar acquired Hagemeyer North America operations in USA, Canada, and Mexico. In October 2009, Hagemeyer USA became a subsidiary of Sonepar USA.

Sonepar, the world’s largest privately held electrical distribution company is headquartered in Paris, France. Founded in 1969, the company has 32,000 employees at 153 companies in 35 countries. They are #1 in nine countries. For more information about Sonepar, please visit www.sonepar.com.

Sonepar North America is led by President Dave Gabriel and SVP Finance Kathy Rusko. The company encompasses all Sonepar and Hagemeyer locations throughout Canada, Mexico, and USA.

Sonepar USA is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company has 6,700 employees at 13 companies nationwide. For more information about Sonepar USA, please visit www.sonepar-us.com.

Sonepar is an independent family-owned company with global market leadership in B-to-B distribution of electrical products and related services.

Founded in 1969 by Henri Coisne, the Sonepar group, electrical equipment distributor, grew rapidly thanks to the ongoing support of its family shareholders, organizing and structuring its business of electrical equipment distribution.

A group of European stature as of 1982, Sonepar is now enlarging its international footprint through targeted acquisitions around the world. The integration of substantial Hagemeyer assets in 2008 marks a major step forward in that direction.

Today, with 16.3 billion euros of revenue in 2012, Sonepar is represented by 168 companies operating in 36 countries on five continents. It is at the heart of a 190 billion global market which, due to the growing number of applications for electrical equipment, fast-changing product technologies, and the need for new services, has considerable further potential.
