Wiley X® adds new Romer 3 glasses to its versatile, rugged changeable series

New-for-2014 model provides advanced vision protection with multiple lens choices

April 2, 2014

Wiley XThe new-for-2014 Romer 3 has joined the popular Changeable Series of performance protective eyewear from leading manufacturer Wiley X®, Inc. This new style is an ideal choice for military and law enforcement, hunters, shooting sports enthusiasts and others who require state-of-the-art eye protection, clear vision and the ability to select from a range of lens options to best suit environmental conditions. These same characteristics make the new Romer 3 - and all Wiley X Changeable Series glasses - excellent for wearing on the job, indoors or out.

The Romer 3 is a full-frame, wraparound-style sunglass with Wiley X's innovative Slot™ technology that allows for easy lens removal and replacement while ensuring the highest level of structural integrity and vision protection. Like all Wiley X models, the new Romer 3 meets stringent ANSI Z87.1 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, providing occupational grade protection for all wearers and a wide range of activities. Wiley X is the only premium sunglass brand with this level of vision protection in every pair of glasses it makes.

The Romer 3 also meets the updated MIL-PRF-32432 (GL) MCEP Standard for ballistic eye protection, as well as EN-166F high velocity impact standards. This level of protection under fire is a key reason why Wiley X is a leading provider of protective eyewear to U.S. military, law enforcement and other tactical wearers worldwide.

These glasses are as stylish, practical and comfortable as they are rugged. The Romer 3 features a lightweight, ergonomic frame for all day comfort. A non-slip nose bridge keeps the Romer 3 secure on the wearer's face, even during strenuous activities at work or in the field. Wiley X applies its Foil™ Anti-Fog lens coating to ensure clear, distraction free vision in challenging conditions and a special T-Shell™ lens coating to resist scratching. The Romer 3 is offered in two lens package options - one includes a Matte Black frame paired with Smoke Grey and Clear lenses; the other matches a Matte Black frame with Smoke Grey, Clear and Light Rust lenses. All of these lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB protection and distortion-free vision.

Almost all Wiley X eyewear styles are Rx-Ready, including the new Romer 3. This makes these protective glasses an ideal, no-compromise solution for people who require prescription lenses on the job or off. Wearing these glasses is a far better and more practical solution to wearing cumbersome safety glasses over traditional prescription eyewear.
