Vendor NewsThe Master Lock Safety Solutions™booth (1121) at this year’s American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Safety 2014 EXPO will be abuzz with guest speakers, award winning products and an interactive demonstration wall. The June 8-10 event takes place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Kina Repp, workplace safety advocate, is the featured speaker in the booth all three days of the show and will be talking about why Lockout/Tagout and workplace safety is so important to her. Kina lost her left arm in a conveyor belt accident while working a summer job to earn money for her college tuition; as an advocate she encourages employees to be actively involved in workplace safety. She will be speaking at 2:45 pm. on Sunday, June 8, and at 9:45 am and 2:15 pm the next two days.

“Kina is an amazing individual and she delivers a powerful, impactful message about safety in the workplace,” said Matt Dudgeon, Global Senior Product and Marketing Manager for Master Lock. “Her story really inspires others and we are glad to have her with us this year at the show.”

Master Lock’s Global Senior Manager for Applied Safety Solutions, Todd Grover, will also be speaking throughout the three days of the show. Sharing his 30+ years of experience in the safety industry, Grover will talk about how to stay ahead of Lockout/Tagout audits and how to write effective procedures that incorporate the broad variety of Master Lock Safety Solutions™products available.

“In addition to these Lockout/Tagout safety compliant procedures,” says Dudgeon, “we will offer demonstration sessions on Field ID™software and how it can be utilized to develop and manage safety and inspection processes.”

Grover will deliver his presentation at 4:20 pm on June 8, at 12:45 pm on June 9, and at 11:15 am on June 10. The Field ID demonstration will be held on June 8 at 3:45 pm, and be repeated at 11:15 am and 1:30 pm on June 9, and at 10:35 am and 12:45 pm on June 10.

Master Lock Safety Solutions™ will be showing off their award winning Butterfly Valve Lockout device and Self-Laminating Photo ID tags. The S3920 is a unique and durable product featuring a one-of-its kind design that easily adjusts to fit virtually any size butterfly valve in a matter of seconds. Designed with thermoplastic material, it is highly resistant to weather and corrosive elements, including chemicals found in many facility environments.

The S4801 Self-Laminating tags provide customized visual representation for authorized employees and comply with “identifiable” requirements of the OSHA Lockout/Tagout standards. These tags use tough polypropylene with PVC laminates to resist water, grease, extreme temperatures and common industrial chemicals and can withstand over 50 lbs. of pull force.

Another incentive of stopping by the Master Lock booth is a chance to win a daily prize of a Master Lock Safety Solutions™gift bag, along with a grand prize of an Apple iPad Mini.  Participation in a 10 question survey is all that it takes to enter and win.
