Portable lighting solutions for tank cleaning

August 14, 2014

tanksBlasting gun lights

The BLG-HID-20REX is a 20 watt HID explosion proof light that produces 1,200 lumens of intense illumination and is designed for extreme durability in media blasting applications. This powerful HID light is designed to be mounted to any standard blasting gun and is powered by a rechargeable battery so no cords or transformers are necessary. This light will run for 140 minutes on a single charge. This light features a specially designed mounting system that allows the unit to be attached to the end of any standard blasting gun. This mount includes all necessary mounting hardware and a protective lens cover that can be removed and replaced.

The BLG-LED-4REX is a 4 watt LED explosion proof light that produces 130 lumens of intense illumination and is designed for extreme durability in media blasting applications. This LED light is powered by rechargeable batteries that allows a four hour run-time on a full charge. This light features a specially designed mounting system that allows the unit to be attached to the end of any standard blasting gun. This mount includes all necessary mounting hardware and a protective lens cover that can be removed and replaced. This protective lens is a simple slide in, slide out configuration that allows operators to pull the rubber guard off the head, slide the old lens out and slide a new one in as the lens is worn out by exposure to blasting materials.

Cart mounted lights

The EPL-TL-C-F explosion proof portable tank light with a manhole mount flange option is rated Class 1 Division 1 and uses a 400 watt metal halide lamp to produce 75,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating 20,000 sq. ft. of work area. This unit consists of a 400 watt metal halide lamp mounted on top of an aluminum cart with solid rubber wheels and provides a portable and easily mobile source of hazardous location illumination. This unit is available in 18" and 24" diameter and is considered a universal tank light as it can be easily passed through most conventional manholes and entryways. To provide added versatility to this tank light, we developed a flange mount option that enables operators to mount the light head in a suspended position from an overhead man way. The flange wraps around the edges of the man way and the light is mounted to the flange assembly via an included threaded brass rod.

The EPL-16C-150LED-RT explosion proof portable tank light from Larson Electronics is rated Class 1 & 2, Divisions 1 & 2 and uses LEDs to produce 12,000 lumens of light while drawing only 150 watts. This cart mounted explosion proof LED light provides 10,000 square feet of work area coverage with 12,000 lumens of light output. This portable LED light cart is comprised of a removable 16" by 14" LED light head mounted on a solid rubber wheeled cart fabricated from non sparking aluminum. Transferring the unit through manholes consists of simply removing the light head from the cart, passing the light head and cart through the manhole separately, and then reassembling the unit once inside. Included with this LED light cart is 250' of SOOW cord which combined with the 360° of rotation and 90° of tilt offered by the LED light head provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights.

Plus:

Pedestal mounted lights

The EPL-16BS-1X150LED-100 explosion proof LED light provides 9,500 square feet of work area coverage with 12,000 lumens of light output.

The EPL-MB-150LED-100 is a magnetically mounted explosion proof LED light that provides 9,000 sq. ft. of work area coverage with 12,000 lumens of light output.

The EPL-PM-150LED-100 explosion proof LED light provides 9,000 square feet of work area coverage with 12,000 lumens of light output.

Manhole mounted lights

The MMLP-1MLED temporary manhole mount light fixture provides operators with a powerful and highly convenient alternative to traditional string or tank lights.

The MMLP-1MLED-JH24 is a Class 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2 explosion proof light fixture that provides 10,000 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 150 watts.

The MMLP-18AL-150LED-RT is a temporary manhole mount light fixture that provides operators with a powerful and highly convenient alternative to traditional string or tank lights.

Adjustable bracket mounted lights

The EPL-JH70-120 is a metal halide hazardous area light fixture that is capable of illuminating an area 13,000 square feet in size.

The HAL-JH400-120 metal halide hazardous light fixture produces 36,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating an area 18,000 square feet in size.

The EPL-JH-PMLED-6W-IR-150 scaffold mount explosion proof LED light is U.L. approved Class 1 Groups C and D and is rated for use in wet and marine environments.

The EPL-JH16C-1MLED-100 explosion proof LED light comes attached to an aluminum rail/ladder mount bracket that allows operators to easily mount this unit to ladders, handrails, catwalks and other similar structures.
