Grainger (NYSE: GWW) broke ground on its new location in Dickinson, N.D., at 3221 Hwy 22. The new Dickinson location will provide a wide range of inventory specifically tailored to businesses operating in the Bakken oil fields, including a comprehensive offering of safety products and services.

“Our new Dickinson branch, in addition to locations in Williston and Fargo, will help more customers get the products they need, when they need them, to keep their operations running efficiently and their people safe,” said Cassandra Dye, regional vice president of customer service for Grainger. “Grainger has a history of serving customers in the natural resources industry throughout North America. Our dedicated teams in Dickinson, Williston and Fargo understand the unique challenges these customers face, and have the solutions, products and services to help them be more productive.”

While the new branch is being constructed, a temporary facility is open at the same location to meet local customer demand. This temporary site provides customers the same products and services they can expect at any Grainger branch, including access to more than 1.2 million products, along with safety and inventory management solutions.

“In the Bakken, managing inventory, especially safety inventory, is one of the best ways a company can remove costs,” added Dye. “Grainger’s KeepStock inventory management solutions help customers save money and space, while increasing productivity and freeing up time to do more important things on the job.”

Grainger’s Dickinson branch is expected to be completed by late 2014.

Grainger has served businesses and institutions in North Dakota since 1978, and is a committed member of the community.
