Drunk driver who killed boyfriend tells her story

An evening out turned tragic when Christine Alexander made the decision to get behind the wheel of a car with a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.14 (almost twice the legal limit). Alexander crashed her vehicle into her boyfriend, who was ahead of her on his motorcycle. He flew 65’ into the air, crashed onto her windshield and then landed on the pavement. He did not survive.

Feds pressure drivers to put down cell phones

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released proposed guidelines to help address driver distraction caused by mobile and other electronic devices in vehicles. The announcement covers the second phase of voluntary guidelines to address driver distraction on U.S. roads. The first phase focused on devices or systems built into the vehicle at the time of manufacture.
