On Monday afternoon AIHce attendees will hear a first-hand account of GE’s world-class program for managing environmental, health and safety (EHS) risks. GE has learned that the way to deliver high EHS performance is through operational ownership.

At 20, Adam Stelzner was an aspiring rock star; on his way home from a gig, he noticed that the constellation of Orion had shifted from where it was hours before. That’s all it took to spark his desire to know everything about the laws that govern the universe.

The second TOS+H Expo (Turkish Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition) continued the success of the premiere event two years ago and recently concluded in Istanbul with a large increase in visitor participation: 5,223 trade visitors (3,540 in 2014) participated to see the latest trends in personal protection equipment, health at work, occupational safety presented by 106 exhibitors from 17 nations. TOS+H Expo 2016 was jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf and the local trade fair company Tezulas Fuar.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) announces the recipients of the 2015 Critics' Choice, Breakout Bestseller, and Bestseller publication awards. The winners will be recognized during the Mark of Excellence Breakfast at the 2016 American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exhibition (AIHce) in Inner Harbor Baltimore, Md., on May 23.

The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has produced several videos to help safety professionals who’ll be attending Safety 2016, June 26-29 in Atlanta, make the most of their convention experience.

With about 100 exhibitors from 17 nations on 58,000 square feet of net space, the second staging of TOS+H (Turkish Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition) will be more international and larger than before. Exhibiting nations include Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Germany, France, India, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Poland, Spain and Sri Lanka as well as Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

Attendees of the FDIC Show in Indianapolis will be the first to view, try, and buy the new Attack Series gloves from Cestusline, Inc. The culmination of years of research into an industry with a rich tradition has resulted in a selection of gloves developed with creative input from fire rescue squads themselves.

ACGIH® will honor its 2016 Awards recipients at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce) held May 21-26, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland. Each year, ACGIH® honors individuals and/or groups who have made significant contributions to the profession through their leadership and dedication. This year’s awardees join that distinguished list.
