TenCate Protective Fabrics, the world’s leading manufacturer of inherently flame resistant (FR) fabrics, will supply its Tecasafe® Plus FR fabric for the manufacture of garments to be used by workers producing plastic resins and petrochemicals.
Formosa Plastics has adopted the new garments and is currently sizing them for the workers in their facility in Point Comfort, Texas. The facility will be serviced by Aramark Uniform Services and the garments are expected to be in full use in May or June.
TenCate Tecasafe® Plus has seen massive growth since its introduction into the market seven years ago with millions of yards sold and millions of garments being worn around the globe. It is the fastest growing textile in the last decade worldwide among all FR fabrics.
TenCate Protective Fabrics is pleased to have such a valued supply chain partner as Aramark and looks forward eagerly to ensuring that the new garments for Formosa will contain fabric of the highest quality. By supplying the most comfortable, durable and easy to wear FR fabric in the world, TenCate is confident that the results will be better than expected.
