CHUMS® Safety reveals new BREAKAWAY Tiger Glove and Utility Clip

March 5, 2015

CHUMSCHUMS® Safety, a division of CHUMS® Inc., a global leader in eyewear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the industrial safety market, is proud to announce the addition of the BREAKAWAY Tiger Glove and Utility Clip to its multi-purpose line of CHUMS® Safety accessories.

Similar to the recently launched, GOLIATH, the innovative BREAKAWAY Tiger Glove and Utility Clip effectively secures gloves and PPE accessories to tool belts, vehicles, or workstations while offering a simple one hand release and reconnecting breakaway option with a clip attachment or optional carabiner.

Consisting of a durable thermoplastic with solid dielectric properties and high abrasion and heat resistance, the heavy duty BREAKAWAY features spring loaded jaws that open to 3/4” and allow 2” for total depth. The clip securely holds up to 5 pounds and has been tested vigorously without loss of function or weight rating.

“The reconnecting option on the new BREAKAWAY is an extremely convenient feature for users in search of a versatile and multipurpose utility clip” said Travis Mehn, National Safety Sales Manager for Chums. “Keeping in tradition with all of our CHUMS® Safety accessories, the clip was designed with safety and accessibility in mind to ensure users stay protected and organized while working with an array of tools out on the job.”

The highly durable BREAKAWAY clip performs at cold temperatures - as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit - and separates at 15 pounds of force allowing for a wide range of applications. Accessory accommodations include most firefighting, heavy duty welding or electrical gloves, hard hats and noise indicators, safety shields and respirators, eyewear, cables, padlocks and cleaning tools.

The BREAKAWAY Tiger Glove and Utility Clip are available in Black and EV Green color options for MSRP: $10.99 or $65.94 for a mixed 6-pack.
