Industrial Scientific, the global leader in gas detection, is pleased to announce that it has received the Building Excellence Award for its new global headquarters located at One Life Way in Robinson Township. The award was presented by the Master Builders’ Association (MBA) of Western Pennsylvania and recognizes construction projects built within 300 miles of the MBA headquarters. Industrial Scientific won in the New Construction Over $25 Million category.
   
As a result of considerable growth over the last decade, Industrial Scientific was forced to spread operations across four separate locations. In 2013, the company teamed with Mascaro Construction and IDC Architects and broke ground for a new corporate headquarters on a 25-acre hilltop overlooking the Parkway West. In June 2015, all 400 employees moved into the 204,000 square foot facility, approximately four months ahead of schedule. Each of the company’s core services, from customer service to manufacturing now coexist under one roof for the first time since the 1980s. The One Life Way location reflects the company’s “employees first” mindset by uniting its employees and providing a stimulating environment for collaboration and problem solving. The building offers creative office spaces, state-of-the-art equipment, dining facilities, a fitness room, walking trails, and many more amenities.
