SKECHERS steps up with work safety accessories

Industry leader EB Brands to debut SKECHERS work safety lines in fall 2016

March 15, 2016

Leading footwear and apparel brand, SKECHERS USA, Inc. (NYSE:SKX) and EB Brands, a top provider of workplace safety equipment, announced today that they will partner to launch a full range of SKECHERS branded workplace safety gear and accessories.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with SKECHERS,” said Steven Brigham, Chief Executive Officer at EB Brands. “It’s a timeless brand and we are confident that we can provide devoted fans with more of the quality products they have come to expect from the SKECHERS brand.”

The SKECHERS-branded line will draw on an array of branded assets to help bring the line to life in the look and feel of SKECHERS. The line will focus on work safety products and will launch at retail in early Fall 2016.

“We’re excited to be partnering with a company like EB Brands because they have outstanding product development and global distribution capabilities,” said SKECHERS president Michael Greenberg. “We look forward to expanding the SKECHERS brand into more product categories for our customers. This is a partnership that will utilize both companies’ best assets to ensure our brand shines through with these new product launches.”

SKECHERS offers two distinct footwear categories: a lifestyle division which includes comfort-focused, trend-right product for men, women and kids, and the Skechers Performance Division which offers Skechers GOrun and Skechers GOwalk footwear.

Celebrity brand ambassadors for SKECHERS' collections include boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard, legendary drummer Ringo Starr, multi-platinum recording artist Demi Lovato, Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor, model and actress Kelly Brook, and TV personality Brooke Burke-Charvet. In addition, elite runners Meb Keflezighi and Kara Goucher as well as pro golfers Matt Kuchar, Colin Montgomerie, Belén Mozo, and Billy Andrade represent the Skechers Performance Division.

EB Brands was represented by Brandgenuity in this deal.
