Great Britain partner country at A+A 2017

September 29, 2016

The partner country at A+A, 2017, International Trade Fair with Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work, will be Great Britain. Although the partner country was selected by the trade fair advisory board during A+A 2015 -long before the ‘Brexit’ referendum - Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf, considers the changed political circumstances an ideal opportunity: “The current situation results in many issues for the suppliers of protective items and security equipment. As THE decisive industry platform, A+A 2017 will provide the scope to discuss these issues. With its 65 million inhabitants, Great Britain also continues to be a strong economic and political partner of the European Union.”The event will be held from October 17 – 20, 2017 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A wide variety of activities related to this partnership are planned during A+A 2017. The British participation has traditionally been among the strongest at the show. At the last staging, 85 exhibitors from Great Britain showcased their products on 39,900 square feet of exhibit space.

Exhibitor registration for A+A 2017 is going strong. For Birgit Horn, Director of A+A 2017, the large number of returning exhibitors reflects their satisfaction with A+A on the one hand and their expectations for a continued dynamic market development on the other: “Safe and healthy working is always 'in'. The realm of health and safety at work is constantly developing further. New regulations governing protective equipment and security at work, new insights for health promotion at the workplace or regarding Industry 4.0 are examples of the themes that dominate market activities and drive them towards thriving business.”

The A+A 2017 exhibits will be complemented by the 35th International Congress for Health and Safety at Work, organized by the German Federal Association for Occupational Safety and Health (BASI).Part of the Congress will again be the conference of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), providing an international dialogue and information platform for global trends in this industry.

Inaddition to the trade fair and Congress, the A+A 2017 ancillary program will include forums, theme parks and special shows such as the Trendforum Safety & Security, the Theme Park Fire Protection & Emergency Management, the stage program Workplace Design & Corporate Health and the Meeting Point Safety and Security as well as the A+A Fashion Show.
