Two more CR6 gloves from Ergodyne offer extreme cut protection and dexterity

Ergodyne
September 7, 2017

On the heels of its first release of an ANSI/ASTM cut level A6 glove (the ProFlex® 812CR6) in April, Ergodyne has announced two more gloves featuring extreme cut protection. Both the ProFlex® 814CR6 Thermal Utility + Cut Resistance Gloves and ProFlex® 925CR6 Performance Dorsal Impact-Reducing + Cut Resistance Gloves deliver enhanced protection from cut and slash while maintaining dexterity and flexibility.

“Cut and slash risks don’t exist in a vacuum; they are found in applications that also need protection from cold weather, back-of-hand impacts and other hazards,” said Andy Olson, product director, Ergodyne. “Adding extreme cut protection to our Thermal and Dorsal Impact-Reducing Series means workers don’t have to choose which hazard to address.”

Both gloves boast ANSI/ASTM Level A6 cut protection, thanks to a next-gen Armortex® proprietary blend of technical materials including Kevlar® and stainless steel. Many work gloves in the market with a similar level of cut protection are stiff and inflexible, causing hand fatigue and hampering detail work. With the 814CR6 and 925CR6, workers who require a high level of cut and slash protection don’t have to sacrifice dexterity to get it.

Just in time for winter work, the 814CR6 takes an innovative thermal utility glove and adds extreme cut resistance. It has a weather-resistant outer shell, an insulated fill for cold weather work, and contrasting gray fingertips for hand signaling.

The DIR series gets an ANSI/ASTM A6 addition with the 925CR6 to add extreme cut protection to patented impact reduction. The full TPR armor + technical foam provides max protection and full coverage for the back of the hand. A hi-vis AX Suede™ non-slip dot gripping palm delivers hand visibility and ensures a superior grip.

“ProFlex® Gloves are infused with the latest in enhanced cut protection in gloves that also address other hazards,” said Tom Votel, president & CEO, Ergodyne. “Because workers want to have confidence that they have everything they need right on their hands.”
