OS+H Asia has established a prominent presence in the workplace safety and health sector and continues to grow with every edition. In recent years, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has made rapid progress in raising OSH standards, performance and capabilities. The workplace fatality rate in Singapore was 1.9 per 100,000 workers in 2016i, and is well on course to reaching the target of less than 1.8. The Singapore government has launched a fund of up to Singapore $2 million to support institutes and companies in developing cutting-edge solutions to reduce workplace fatalities from vehicular accidentsii.
