A number of Community Receptions at Safety 2018 will enable specific interest groups to network and socialize with each other.

The Blacks in Safety Excellence (BISE) Networking Reception will be held on Sunday, June 3 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Light refreshments will be served.

The Women in Safety Excellence (WISE) Networking Reception will be held on Sunday, June 3 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Howl at the Moon San Antonio. There is a $10 registration fee. The theme this year is WISE’s Sweet Sixteen, in recognition of WISE’s sixteen years as an ASSE common interest group. Howl at the Moon is located right on the Riverwalk and provides live music in a high-energy setting.

Young Professionals Networking Reception will be held on Sunday, June 3 from 7:00PM - 9:00PM. There is a $10 registration fee. Young Professionals in OSH will meet for a night out at Pat O’Brien’s Bar at Safety 2018 in San Antonio. Pat O’Brien’s recreates a French New Orleans atmosphere with a causal setting to meet new friends or catch up with old friends. Registration includes two drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres until supplies are exhausted.

The SPALW/Latin American networking Reception will be held on Monday, June 4 at 6:30PM - 8:30PM at the Grand Hyatt and will commemorate the rebranding of the common interest group to Hispanic Safety Professionals with good food, drinks, and ASSE leaders including 2018 - 2019 President Rixio Medina. A live salsa band, Colao, will provide the entertainment.
