Ergodyne expands Chill-Its® Hydration Series with new hydration packs

March 19, 2014

Ergodyne has announced today the addition of two new Chill-Its® Hydration Packs along with a new color addition to the popular Chill-Its® Hydration Series. Offering a more durable, water-resistant shell with a larger bladder, these new additions provide an efficient, on-the-go hydration solution for workers in extreme environments.

Specifically, the new additions include:

5156 Hydration Pack

5157 Premium Cargo Hydration Pack

5155HV Hydration Pack

"Ergodyne's hydration series offers a broad selection of solutions to keep workers quenched and productive on the job," said Adria Hardy, senior product manager, Ergodyne. "Hydration is a critical component to combat the onset of heat stress and with hundreds of deaths caused by heat stress each year, there's more work to be done. We think hydration packs are a critical component to this."

Inadequate hydration not only poses a huge risk to worker safety, it also means a loss of productivity on the jobsite. The new designs boast a two liter bladder, allowing a worker to take minimal water breaks while staying adequately hydrated and efficient throughout the day. Providing a 600D water-resistant polyester shell, the hydration packs are the ultimate in durability on the toughest of jobsites. Perhaps most important, the closed cell insulation keeps water cool for hours while the TPE polymer bladder ensures the water tastes like water - not plastic. For workers who need the added protection of staying seen on the job, the 5155HV is now available in hi-vis orange as well as lime.

"A worker should never wait for thirst to hit before taking a drink," said Tom Votel, president and CEO of Ergodyne. "It's easy to get distracted on the job - but our new portable hydration packs make hydrating almost as involuntary as breathing, ensuring workers can sip whenever and wherever."

Ideal for outdoor and indoor workers who battle heat and fatigue on the job, the new Chill-Its® Hydration Packs and hi-vis orange color addition are available now at all authorized Ergodyne distributors.
