MetroNet names Chuck Muller Safety Manager

MetroNet
August 12, 2019

MetroNet Inc. has announced Chuck Muller as the company’s new Safety Manager. With more than 30 years of experience in damage prevention, Muller will be spearheading all safety and damage prevention efforts in each state that provides MetroNet services. He joins the team after serving on Indiana 811 as the Director of Member/Public Relations where he served as the subject matter expert on all Indiana 811 legislative issues. Indiana 811 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting excavators and operators of underground utilities.

“Over the years, Chuck has built incredible relationships with individuals in this community and our team is thrilled to have him on board to ensure that we continue focusing on public safety when entering new markets,” said MetroNet President John Cinelli. “He is widely regarded as an expert in natural gas and utility industry safety topics, and his decades of experience and wide range of contacts will prove beneficial as MetroNet’s footprint continues to expand.”

Muller spreads his knowledge of safety and incident prevention across many platforms. He is an adjunct professor on damage prevention and safety at Purdue University. He is also a member of the Common Ground Alliance, the Indiana Rural Water Association, the Indiana Landscape Association, and the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program Board, where he serves as the Utilities Representative.

“I am honored to join a team whose passion and dedication to safety is parallel to my own,” stated Chuck Muller, Safety Manager for MetroNet. “As I continue serving my local community as a member of Indiana 811, I look forward to representing the safety department of a fast-growing telecommunications company.”

Muller joins MetroNet’s industry-leading safety team which operates a comprehensive safety program focused on construction damage prevention and employee and contractor safety.
