Guardian launches HTL Horizontal Lifeline and webbing HLL for fall protection
HTL Horizontal Lifeline (HLL)
Guardian Fall Protection, a Pure Safety Group (PSG) brand, has unveiled its new HTL Horizontal Lifeline (HLL) for use in fall protection systems. The horizontal anchorage accommodates two workers in fall arrest at 30-, 60- and 100-foot lengths.
The HLL is ultra-lightweight and extremely durable. Due to the double-braided polyester rope functioning as the shock absorber, no inline shock absorber is required. Its built-in, inline tension swivel prevents tangling and keeps the HLL in an optimal position. It features nylon thimbles that protect the rope against wear and prevents loops. The HTL’s lower dynamic sag provides exceptional fall clearances.
The HTL kit includes the rope, tensioner to tighten and secure the lifeline, two O-rings for easy connection and smooth movement along the rope, two double-locking carabiners, two 6-foot cross arm straps and a convenient carrying and storage bag.
The capacity of the Guardian HTL HLL is 130-310 pounds, per worker. This product meets OSHA 1926 Subpart M and OSHA 1910 requirements and is assembled in the U.S.A.
Guardian Fall Protection also will introduce a new webbing horizontal lifeline (HLL) at the 2019 National Safety Congress & Expo in San Diego. The Guardian Fall Protection Webbing HLL (shown at right) is a temporary horizontal lifeline designed for use in fall restraint or fall arrest. Its lightweight polyester 65-foot webbing is water- and UV-resistant and can accommodate up to two users with a combined weight of 440 pounds.
Sold as a kit, the HLL includes a convenient carrying and storage bag, webbing, two carabiners, two 6-foot cross arm straps, two O rings and removable ratchet handle and tensioner. The handle provides the user with the security of knowing when the lifeline is properly tensioned and gives the job manager confidence that the employee is safe. This feature mitigates risk caused by an improperly tensioned lifeline.
The HLL also features an inline shock absorber and contrast stitching that allows for easy inspection, and it meets OSHA standards 1926 Subpart M and 1910.
