October 15, 2025

With robotics demand at an all-time high, the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) will host the International Robot Safety Conference (IRSC) November 3-5, 2025 at The Westin Houston, Memorial City in Houston, Texas. For more than 35 years, companies worldwide have relied on IRSC to strengthen their knowledge of robot safety and risk assessment.

The 2025 program will place a special focus on the new R15.06 2025 standard, the U.S. national adoption of ISO 10218, addressing its implications for manufacturers, integrators, and end users. Sessions will also explore emerging areas such as AI safety, cybersecurity, and global regulatory compliance, and feature a dual-track format, enabling attendees to customize learning across conventional, collaborative, and mobile robot applications.

Expert-Led Sessions

More than 40 safety professionals and regulatory officials from leading organizations including FANUC, Universal Robots, Amazon, NVIDIA, Procter & Gamble, SICK, OSHA, Yaskawa Motoman, Agility Robotics, and MiR will share the latest standards updates and actionable best practices. Highlights include:

  • Why Robot Safety Matters – Stuart Shepherd, 2025 Engelberger Award for Leadership recipient, will kick off the conference with a keynote address drawing on 46 years of experience transforming manufacturing through robotic automation
  • Understanding the New R15.06 2025 Standard – A deep dive into the latest update to industrial robot safety requirements, outlining key changes and their impact on manufacturers, integrators, and end users
  • Ask the Experts Panel – Featuring leaders from Procter & Gamble, Universal Robots, and FANUC, answering attendees' toughest safety questions

The full agenda is available online at www.automate.org/events/international-robot-safety-conference/agenda.

Why Attend IRSC 2025

IRSC offers practical, up-to-date knowledge to help businesses protect workers and ensure compliance in increasingly automated environments. Attendees will:

  • Hear directly from industry-leading safety experts
  • Get the latest updates on ISO 10218 and mobile robot standards
  • Learn practical risk assessment methods for all robot types
  • Understand cybersecurity and regulatory requirements
  • Engage with peers through the exhibit hall and networking reception

Setting the Standard for Safe Automation

“Robot safety has always been at the core of A3’s mission,” said Carole Franklin, A3's director of standards for robotics. “IRSC 2025 will dive deep on the new R15.06 2025 standard along with AI safety, mobile robot risk assessment, and cybersecurity. Attendees will come away with the guidance they need to translate requirements into practical methods their teams can use to design, validate, and operate safe robotic systems.”
