DuPont SafeGUIDE to Help Facilities in North America Improve Protective Apparel Selection

DuPont announced the launch of DuPont™ SafeGUIDE™, an on-site field assessment program designed to help organizations in the United States and Canada improve how they evaluate workplace hazard risks and select chemical protective apparel. SafeGUIDE™ provides a structured, step-by-step approach to help enhance and standardize protective apparel inquiries, supporting more consistent decision-making and compliance efforts.
Selecting appropriate protective apparel can be complex, particularly in industrial environments where chemical exposure risks vary by task, process, and facility. DuPont™ SafeGUIDE™ is designed to help safety managers and EHS teams move from informal or inconsistent selection practices to a more uniform process that can be replicated across multiple sites.
Every SafeGUIDE™ assessment is reviewed by DuPont’s Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) team, helping ensure guidance aligns with the latest standards and best practices in industrial health and safety. DuPont’s CIH professionals provide hazard identification and risk assessment expertise to help strengthen protective apparel selection processes and support safer workplaces. The approach can be applied effectively in industrial environments ranging from chemical processing operations to cleanrooms.
“SafeGUIDE™ is designed to observe and evaluate hazards where they occur in the workplace.” said Mark Tartaglia, Business CIH Support Team Leader, DuPont Personal Protection. “By combining on-site assessments with CIH review, we can help customers: identify hazard risks, improve PPE selection practices, and support optimized, more consistent protective apparel decisions across facilities.”
DuPont™ SafeGUIDE™ is designed to help organizations strengthen protective apparel selection by improving consistency and supporting regulatory compliance. Through on-site hazard risk evaluation and CIH-supported review, the program helps safety teams: identify and mitigate risks, reduce the likelihood of costly injuries, and make more confident protective apparel decisions. SafeGUIDE™ also supports documentation needs by providing OSHA and job hazard analysis documentation aligned with workplace safety requirements for personal protective apparel.
Following consistent, repeatable processes, DuPont experts work with site safety managers to define the assessment scope, then conduct an on-site walk-through and engage with employees to capture real-world conditions. Findings are reviewed and analyzed to develop actionable guidance, and customers receive a comprehensive report with protective apparel and product suggestions, including purchasing details for their consideration.
DuPont representatives and distributors are available for follow-up support and training, and reports are archived for future reference to support long-term compliance.
