OSHA and the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture-Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA) Local 101 have joined resources to promote workplace safety and health for local members of the lighting industry, according to an OSHA release. The agency and IUE-CWA Local 101 officially began their alliance this week at a signing ceremony in St. Marys, Pa.

A major goal of the alliance is to develop occupational safety and health training for employees in the lighting industry, particularly in the areas of machine guarding, conveyor safety, hearing protection, hazard communication and employee rights and responsibilities under OSHA.
