Wiley X, Inc. adds new WX Gravity to its popular Climate Control Family

New WX Gravity keeps eyes comfortable and fully protected, meeting both OSHA and military-grade safety standards

September 10, 2012

Wiley X Climate Control sunglassesWiley X’s Rx-ready, Climate Control sunglasses combine an attractive, wraparound style frame with Wiley X’s patented, removable soft foam Facial Cavity™ Seal.  This unique design was developed to block out wind, dust and debris, providing protection unmatched by other eyewear. This exclusive feature creates a comfortable, climate controlled “protection zone” for the wearer’s eyes.  And because it’s removable, it’s like getting two pairs of glasses in one. With Wiley X’s shatterproof lenses and frames, the WX Gravity protects the wearer’s eyes against a wide range of occupational dangers.

As a leading provider of protective eyewear to U.S. armed forces around the world, Wiley X knows a thing or two about protecting America’s workforce. The WX Gravity meets the stringent ANSI-Z87.1-2003 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety standards, for proven OSHA-grade protection on the job — whether it’s on the assembly line, factory floor, construction site or mill. In addition, the WX Gravity goes above and beyond to meet the most stringent U.S. military specifications for eye protection, providing wearers with the same proven ballistic protection worn by America’s brave fighting men and women.

Even more importantly, because the WX Gravity is designed to be comfortable and stylish, workers will actually want to wear them. This is critical, because no safety glasses can protect workers if they’re sitting in a locker.

Wiley X is offering the new WX Gravity in a range of configurations to meet differing needs and style preferences. There’s a WX Gravity with Gloss Black frames and LA™ Light Adjusting lenses that automatically darken from virtually clear to Smoke Grey based on UV light conditions — great for jobs requiring both indoor and outdoor work.  Another version matches Polarized Blue Mirror Lenses with a Black Crystal frame. Plus, it’s also available in a Brown Crystal frame with Bronze Flash lenses. A special Black Ops WX Gravity combines a Matte Black frame with Smoke Grey lenses for a stealthy, understated appearance.

Like all Wiley X Climate Control protective glasses, the new WX Gravity is prescription ready, making it an ideal no-compromise solution for workers who require corrective lenses.

For more information about the new WX Gravity — or the company’s complete line of premium performance eyewear for work or play in the great outdoors — visit Wiley X, Inc. at 7800 Patterson Pass Road, Livermore, CA 94550 • Telephone: (800) 776-7842 • Or visit online at www.wileyx.com.
