Speakman Company introduces a revolutionary product for laboratory safety

SEF-1850 saves eyes, counter space

March 19, 2013

In the event of a chemical eye burn, panic ensues. Our senses are rendered and instinct naturally takes over. Our reflexes instantly rush us to the nearest location our minds are programmed to believe offer relief…the sink, safety showers, eyewash stations, etc…

Our newest eyewash faucet combination model, the Speakman SEF-1850, is a revolutionary product that combines a fully functional faucet with an independently operated eyewash. Two separate water supplies built within the unit ensure that cold to tepid water will constantly bring immediate relief to the victim, regardless if hot water is running from the faucet simultaneously. This SEF-1850 solves the dangers that most other faucet mounted emergency stations present from users flushing scalding-hot water into their eyes in a state of panic. The user simply lifts the easily designated recognizable lever to instantly receive soothing, temperature controlled, aerated water into their eyes.

The Speakman SEF-1850 is certified to ANSI Z358.1, ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, NSF 61 & CA AB 1953 standards. The eyewash portion of the unit features 2 gpm flow rate at 30 PSI while the faucet features a 1.5 gpm flow rate. Each unit is constructed out Speakman’s respected solid brass components and is also available with an 8 inch spout (SEF-1850-8).

The Speakman SEF-1850 will save valuable laboratory counter space, solve most eyewash station problems and most importantly, save potential long lasting eye injuries in a precise, efficient manner.
