Two new members join PIP senior management team

Company will exhibit at Safety 2013

March 29, 2013

PIPPIP’s stellar growth over the last 10 years has positioned itself as a global leader in Safety Hand Protection and places PIP well on its way to becoming a referenced-leader in the Personal Protective Equipment market space. “Our second phase of growth will require experienced, high-energy senior managers working as a dynamic and cohesive team to make this happen,” explains Joe Milot, Jr., President. In line with this, PIP is pleased to announce the following organizational changes.

Anthony Di Giovanni, a highly experienced marketing and sales professional of industrial products joins PIP as Director of Global Marketing, effective March 1, 2013. Anthony has been working in the industrial channel for almost 20 years. During the last four years, he successfully ran his own consulting company. Prior to this, Anthony has held senior positions in both marketing and business development within Sperian (now Honeywell) and 3M. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University. In his new position, Anthony will be responsible for overseeing strategic corporate marketing and for the integration of product innovations through partnerships or acquisitions. Additionally, his vast international experience makes him well-suited for expanding PIP’s international business.

Ron Desjardins’ role in Product Management has been elevated to Director of Product Management, overseeing the entire team and leading PIP’s product development strategy. Ron brings 30 years’ experience in head protection and, in particular, a focus on safety eyewear with companies such as American Optical, Dalloz and Honeywell. He has served on ANSI and ISEA committees for both eyewear and head protection. Ron holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA in International Marketing & Finance from Nichols College.

This new organizational change will enable Robin Roberts to focus his role on executive business strategies and overseeing an expanding sales organization and distributor-partner network that now span the Industrial, Fire, Electrical and Consumer markets. Robin’s new title is Senior Vice President of Sales – United States and Canada.
