HydratightHydratight Americas, a global engineering company providing products and services to the oil, gas and power generation industries, has completed more than one million man hours without a recordable injury.

The achievement follows the 2013 launch of the ‘Step up for Safety’ campaign, which championed Hydratight’s ongoing commitment to empower employees to take charge of their safety and the safety of their co-workers.

“All of the Hydratight facilities in the Americas contributed to this accomplishment through hard work and diligence and by building a health & safety culture that is best in class,” said Gregory Scott, Americas HSSE Leader for the joint integrity specialist.

Elements of that culture include in-house safety training via Hydratight’s computer based system, customer specific site training, and tools and equipment based competency training.

“Our training program has been one of the key factors to consistent safety,” said Wayne Tyson, Global FSE Training Manager. “I believe the increased focus on the compliance and management of the IMPACT Program, Hydratight’s competency based training program, has been a great factor in our success.”

According to the company, this safety accomplishment “proves once again why ‘It has to be Hydratight’.”
