oil-worker-300.jpgA global oil and gas industry association has issued a report based on 2013 data on leading indicators related to health management in the industry.

The IPIECA report presents data collected from 29 companies using tools developed by IPIECA and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) to assess overall health management performance and to compare performance between different parts of a company as well as between participating companies.

The tools, developed in 2007, indicate the extent of management of eight leading indicators of health performance areas across companies globally and also allow for in-depth analysis at site and corporate level. The 2013 report sees a significant increase in the number of participating companies, and provides an indication of the health management performance for each, helping to identify weak areas and those in need of improvement. A detailed description of the tools used is also provided.
