More than 700 AFFLINK distributor members and preferred suppliers attend 2014 meeting

September 5, 2014
AFFLINK, developers of the eLev8® process, just capped off its 37th year as a leading sales and marketing organization in the supply chain management industry at its annual summit in San Diego, California.

Each summit has a theme and this year’s theme was ”Play to Win.”

“The energy at the 2014 AFFLINK Summit was at an all-time high,” says AFFLINK President Dennis Riffer. “Our members and suppliers have validated the strategies we have in place, and we are building on their momentum to continue driving this industry forward — now and into the future.”

More than 700 AFFLINK distributor members and preferred suppliers attended the three-day event. They participated in educational breakout sessions, held one-on-one meetings, and learned of new engagement programs developed to keep them relevant in today’s changing marketplace.

This year’s keynote speaker was Jon Gordon, author of the New York Times best-selling book “The Energy Bus.” Gordon’s message aligned with the “Play to Win” theme as he discussed how to fuel one’s life, work, and team with positive energy in order to remain successful.

Several long-standing AFFLINK members were also recognized during the summit. Among those honored this year were Chudy Paper Co. and SupplyOne Cleveland, both of which celebrated their 100th anniversary this year.

The summit was also an opportunity for AFFLINK to highlight some of its current and expanded programs including:

SalesHunter™-An industry-only recruitment and development program designed to find, qualify, and train new sales professionals for AFFLINK member and supplier partners

Shopfront 2.0™ E-commerce platform that gives AFFLINK member customers a business-to-consumer shopping experience in the commercial marketplace

GSA-Taps into the Federal Government Procurement Programs to give AFFLINK members access to this $11 billion marketplace

Member Brands-Private labeling program now boasting 18 distinct categories, including a complete imports program

“Our message is clear,” Riffer reiterates. “We’re continuing to focus on programs that help our members compete, strengthen our membership by strategically adding new distribution with companies that value our model, and effectively communicate our value to all our stakeholders-members, suppliers, and the end users.”

AFFLINK is the global leader in supply chain optimization, providing clients with innovative process and procurement solutions to drive efficiencies in today’s leading businesses.   The eLev8 system helps organizations uncover never-before-seen opportunities and quantify their value to enhance their overall image, promote a healthy workplace, decrease total costs, increase productivity, and satisfy Green and sustainable objectives.
