Magid® introduces new service for protecting workers at remote job sites

Company expands its Safety-on-Site offering to include delivery of fully-stocked mobile units

September 17, 2014

Magid Safety on SiteMagid, the leading manufacturer and supplier of safety solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE) has introduced a new service to keep workers protected at customers’ facilities and remote job sites. Magid’s new Safety-on-Site Mobile Option is a turnkey solution for specifying, forecasting, delivering and managing PPE at remote locations, to ensure the right protective equipment is always available and easily accessible.

The service includes an assessment phase that Magid conducts in partnership with customers’ safety managers and purchasing staffs to determine job hazards, personal protection requirements and cost-effective PPE alternatives. Magid then loads and delivers fully-stocked containers, or mobile units, to the remote jobs sites. To manage the program, Magid provides detailed consumption reports and replenishes inventory as it’s consumed throughout the duration of the project. Customers receive monthly bills and can pay for what they use through Magid’s consignment program, to reduce acquisition and inventory carrying costs.

“The Safety-on-Site Mobile Option is another way for Magid to protect more workers, by helping their employers ensure the right PPE is available whenever and wherever it’s needed,” said Rusty Cohen, Executive Vice President, Magid. “Our team is driven to develop new and innovative ways to provide more value, reduce costs and build stronger partnerships with our customers. We believe the Mobile Option is unique among safety providers and will be especially attractive to companies in the construction, utility and oil & gas industries.”

Magid’s Safety-on-Site services include a full range of managed on-site stores and complete point-of-use vending solutions for improved worker safety, PPE accessibility and operational efficiency. Customers can learn more about the Safety on Site service and contact Magid at http://www.magidglove.com/safety-on-site.aspx.
