OSHA reaches settlement on challenge to hex chrome standard (5/23)

OSHA signed an agreement Monday with NAM and other industry groups that settles a challenge to OSHA’s hexavalent chromium standard. As a result, the agency will issue a letter of interpretation addressing specific questions regarding the new standard.

New Local Emphasis Program Underway in Kansas (5/15)

OSHA’s Wichita, Kan., area office recently launched a new Local Emphasis Program (LEP) targeting general industry businesses where servicing of single and multi-piece rim wheels is performed, including those used on large vehicles such as trucks, tractors, trailers, buses and off-road machines. The LEP supplements OSHA's national Site-Specific Targeting program that annually identifies workplaces with high rates of injuries and illnesses.
