Most U.S. work sites not affected by SARS
May 23, 2003
The Society of Human Resource Management conducted a survey of 423 human resource professionals to determine how SARS has affected business operations. Sixty-nine percent reported SARS having no effect at all. Twenty percent reported cutbacks in employee business travel. Only five percent arranged for medical/health personnel to speak to employees, and only one percent said they closed offices in affected region.
