Andrew Razeghi, a principal with Strategos, one of the world's leading innovation consulting firms, will help safety professionals make a business case for their safety management systems in his keynote address at the American Society of Safety Engineers' (ASSE) "The Business of Safety Symposium," March 7-8 in Dallas.

Razeghi's address, "Are you relevant?," will focus on bringing your safety management system in sync with the challenges of your organization. A noted business thought leader and author, Razeghi will discuss the safety professional's role in helping their organization gain a competitive edge and ensure their own relevancy in the services they provide.

Additionally, the symposium will offer attendees information and techniques on achieving a high performing safety management system. Such techniques as risk mapping, six sigma, benchmarking, and cost analysis to employ in your organization to demonstrate the effectiveness of your safety management system will be discussed.

Also on the agenda for the two-day event are leadership strategies, steps toward achieving innovative thinking, change management, legal aspects and ethical considerations to better manage the business aspects of safety. Tools such as performance metrics and management systems will also be covered.
