On the January 23rd cover of Time magazine, Warren Buffett reminds me a bit of a wizened and wise safety and health pro.

One by one they disappeared into the dark house. All curtains and blinds were drawn. The house looked like a bulky shadow in the night. They were careful to time their arrivals.

I agree with the premise that $$ only drives algorithmic (my word) tasks. Safety is not algorithmic... it is heuristic. We are asking for strategies and decisions, not just following directions, to get real results.

Wait a minute. You’re telling me, no calls, no texting, no email behind the wheel! No hands-free headset even? Then what was the point of those things?
