Top products of the week

June 3, 2018

Fall prevention, machine safety combustible dust and dangerous gases were the focus of the innovative new occupational safety and health products featured on ISHN.com this week.

Major advancement in fall protection: MSA V-EDGE™ Self Retracting Lifelines (SRLs)

Announcing new leading edge fall protection solutions from MSA. The new V-EDGE series from MSA simplifies SRL selection for workers as they are designed specifically for overhead and foot-level tie off – and where leading edge hazards are a concern.

Introducing the MSA V-EDGE™ Series for leading edge fall protection

Meets ANSI leading edge requirements

Making fall protection product selection simple, the MSA V-EDGE series of self-retracting lifelines (SRLs) can be used in a variety of applications—from overhead to foot-level tie off points and where sharp edges are a concern.

Avoid OSHA violations with the new & improved Bench Grinder Safety Gauge from Rockford Systems

OSHA 29 CFR SubPart O 1910.215 for bench grinders is one of the most frequently cited machine-safety standards for violations during OSHA inspections, and one of the most dangerous to ignore. OSHA 1910.215 is a "machine specific" (vertical) regulation with a number of requirements, which if left unchecked, are often cited by OSHA as violations. ANSI B11.9-2010 (Grinders) and ANSI B7.1 2000 (Abrasive Wheels) also apply.

Metal Detectable Thermoformed Guards

Faztek, LLC is excited to announce the launch of metal detectable 1/8” ABS plastic. This material is intended to be used when guarding light duty hazard locations in the food or pharmaceutical industries where an all metal guard would traditionally be required. Following the current industry practice of using a highly visual material, guards in this material are available in blue only.

New fugitive combustible dust eliminating SonicAire Fan

As a Distributor for SonicAire, we are proud to announce the new SA-XD2 Fan. We have been pleased with the previous fans that our customers appreciate in their Class I, Div 1 locations and our other customers in Class II, Division 2 locations have been patiently waiting for the release of this new fan. It is designed for highly hazardous environments that have ignitable fibers and handle heavier combustible particles.
